Projects are the frameworks for the implementation of organizational changes, the development and introduction of new products, etc.
The success of the project largely depends on the participating employees’ attitude to the project and how engaged they are towards the goal of the project. In other words, to what extent they make their knowledge and experiences available for the project and use them to implement the goals of the project.
The DSE(project) Model is narrowing down the DSE Modell to a specific situation: the project work.
The DSE(project) Model is a tool based on the DSE methodology, which we developed to be able to continuously trace the employees’ engagement toward the project goals during a long project (of several months) and to obtain a picture of the reasons for the changes in the engagement toward the implementation of the project goal.
MOST FREQUENTLY THIS QUESTION NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IF …
- … a longer project of up to several years needs to be managed and
- … the management feels there is something wrong: “employees are less enthusiastic about the project than they used to be”
- … the management believes that the success of the project could be enhanced by making use of the “human reserves”
- … “we suspect human factors of attitude” behind the delay in the project and an increase in its costs
- … the employees’ attitude to the project is not appropriate
RESULTS OF THE PROJECT:
- We identify a part of the human risks of the project
- We make the relationship between the success of the project and the employees’ attitude visible
- We identify the engagement toward the project goals and the organizational phenomena that fundamentally determine it
- We identify the reasons that affect the fluctuation of the employees participating in the project
- We can define actions influencing a decrease in fluctuation
- The engagement level becomes measurable in the various target groups
- We can define actions that influence the maintenance and improvement of engagement
